  • Yorkton is the largest city in East-Central Saskatchewan, an area of approximately 14,000 square miles. Yorkton is located along the Trans-Canada Yellowhead Highway #16 between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Other highways servicing the area include Highway #10 (between Yorkton and Regina) and Highway #9 from Hudson Bay to the US Border.

  • Yorkton has the most competitive business costs of 12 cities studied across Canada and the United States according to the Provincial Action Committee on the Economy (PACE), using an independent consulting firm, July, 1997.

  • Annual building construction levels in Yorkton have shown a significant growth in 2007 and growth of another 20% in 2008.
